  • Protein-packed
  • Ready in minutes, excellent for hot days or post-workout cravings.
  • Enjoy it plain, with toppings, or as a base for more decadent desserts.
  • No refined sugar needed –  ripe bananas do the work.

Ingredients & Benefits

  1. Coconut cream – Adds rich creaminess and healthy fats; perfect for vegan and keto recipes. Use in moderation due to high saturated fat and calorie content.
  2. Chocolate protein powder – Boosts protein content to keep – supports muscle recovery. (You can use vegan protein powder like pea powder.)
  3. Bananas – Naturally sweet, add creaminess, and provide potassium, fiber, and essential vitamins.
  4. Unsweetened cocoa powder – Rich in antioxidants and adds deep chocolate flavor without added sugar.
  5. Dark chocolate (80%) – Optional decoration; adds antioxidants and a slightly bitter contrast to the creamy ice cream.

Info: For a quick oven method, preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F), place unpeeled bananas on a baking sheet, and bake for 15–20 minutes until the peel turns black. Let them cool before using – the bananas will be soft, sweet, and perfect for baking, smoothies, or ice cream.

The Recipe

Servings: 4-6 | Total Time: 10 minutes prep + 3-4 hours freezing | Difficulty: super easy

Ingredients:

  • 400ml coconut cream
  • 1 scoop vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 1 of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 85g dark chocolate (80% cocoa) – for decoration

Preparation:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
  2. Pour the mixture into a metal tray, decorate with finely crushed dark chocolate, and cover the ice cream with plastic wrap.
  3. Put the ice cream in the freezer for about 3-4 hours, after which it is ready to enjoy.

Tip: After taking the ice cream out of the freezer, let it soften for 10 minutes before consuming.

Note: Coconut cream is a rich, savory cream sometimes used as an alternative in vegan and ketogenic recipes. But it’s high in saturated fat and calories, so it’s recommended to enjoy it in moderation.
