Pita Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole-wheat flour (about 250 g)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp instant yeast

- ¾ cup warm water (about 180 ml)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar (if using), and yeast.
- Add the warm water and olive oil, then knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin round, about 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter.
- Cook each pita in a hot, dry pan for 1–2 minutes per side, until puffed and golden.
- Optional: You can also bake the pitas in the oven if preferred.
