Shredded Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 600-700 g chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 200 g tomato sauce
  • 100 g water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, tomato sauce, and water to create a flavorful sauce.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bowl and coat them evenly with the sauce mixture. Cover the bowl with foil and marinate for 1.5–2 hours.
  3. Transfer the chicken and sauce to a baking dish. Cover the dish with thin foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 1.5–2 hours, or until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Remove the chicken from the oven and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the dish and mix with the remaining sauce.
  5. Place the dish back in the oven and cook for an additional 20 minutes at a lower temperature to let the flavors meld.
